(a) No person, being in or upon any street, avenue, sidewalk, alley, bridge or public place, or being in a situation to be seen or observed from any street, avenue, alley, bridge or public place, shall commit or perpetrate or assist in the commission or perpetration of any lewd, indecent, obscene, filthy or lascivious act, gesture, movement or behavior, or shall utter or use any profane, indecent or obscene language.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
