The City of Charles Town restricts the harboring of more than three dogs or cats as presented in the City Zoning ordinance, Section 2.2, Specific Definitions which states the following:
Kennel: Any building or structure and/or land used, designed, or arranged for housing, boarding, breeding, or care of more than three adult dogs or cats kept for breeding, hunting, sale, exhibition, or domestic use or other domestic animals for profit, but not including those animals raised for agricultural purposes.
