At any time a storm sewer user connection is to be abandon, the connection shall be excavated at the point of tap-in; the service lateral shall be disconnected in a manner approved by the Municipal inspector; and the tap connection shall be tightly and permanently capped. Inspection of such work shall be required under the provisions of Section 929.93 (Construction Inspection and Testing) prior to backfilling the excavation.
