(a) No person, firm or corporation shall use any private water supply, including but not limited to a well, cistern or spring, to supply water for human consumption and human use inside a dwelling, building or structure. Water from a private water supply shall be used only for a geothermal heating system, outside a building, dwelling or structure or such other use approved by the authority having jurisdiction which shall not drain into the sanitary sewer system.
(b) Any person, firm or corporation using a private water supply upon the passage of this section may continue to use said private water supply for human consumption and human use within a dwelling, building or structure until such time as a connection to the municipal water system shall be required pursuant to § 927.55
of the Codified Ordinances.
