927.55 REQUIRED CONNECTIONS.
   (a)   Connections to the Municipal water system shall be required for any lot or land where water is to be consumed and/or used, by any person, when said lot or land fronts or abuts any street in the Municipality where a public water main exists; or abuts any easement or right of way which would provide for the extension of water mains, or service laterals, from another property.

   (b)   When a subject development property abuts an easement, or easements, which would provide for the extension of water mains from existing water mains on adjacent property, through the subject property, to another point of connection with existing public water mains, the developer of the subject property shall be required to install such water main, or mains, and connect same so as to provide for gridding the Municipal water system and thereby improve the reliability and service capacity of the system.

   (c)   Buildings equipped with an automatic sprinkler system shall have a separate tap and service lateral to serve said system. Automatic fire protection sprinkler systems, and other fixed fire suppression systems using water as the extinguishing agent, shall be connected to the Municipal water system in accordance with these regulations and the Fire Prevention Code.
