At any time a sanitary sewer user connection is to be abandon, then the connection shall be excavated at the point of tap-in; the service lateral to be abandon shall be disconnected in an approved manner; and the tap connection shall be tightly and permanently capped. If the sewer main is deteriorated at the point of connection with the service lateral, then the sewer main pipe shall be replace with a new section of sewer pipe. Inspection of all work shall be required under the provisions of Section 925.93 (Construction Inspection and Testing) prior to backfilling the excavation.
