§ 35.13 APPLICABILITY.
   Sections 35.11 and 35.12 shall not apply to a Chief of Police hired after the effective date of this chapter or employed by the village pursuant to a contract. Any sworn officer of the village appointed to the rank of Chief of Police shall retain his or her sworn rank within the Police Department and may only be terminated from employment by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
