§ 35.11 PROBATION PERIOD.
   The Chief of Police shall be on probation for a period of 12 months from the date of his or her appointment, confirmation and qualification according to village ordinances and the statues of the state. During this 12-month period, the Chief of Police may be suspended or discharged with or without cause by the President upon the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees following written notice to the Chief of Police and an opportunity for the Chief of Police to respond to said notice before the Corporate Authorities. The provisions of any other hearing requirements shall not apply to the Chief of Police during the probationary period.
