A. Definitions: "Challis, Idaho Municipal Airport", "runway", "taxiway" and "parking apron" shall mean the City of Challis, Idaho Municipal Airport located north of the City and those areas presently used as such and so designated upon the official Airport Layout Plan in the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer as from time to time amended.
B. Pedestrians and Vehicles: No unauthorized pedestrians shall enter upon, cross or traverse any Challis Municipal Airport runway, taxiway, parking apron or other airport property adjacent thereto, and no unauthorized motor vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle or other conveyance shall be driven, operated or taken upon any Challis Municipal Airport runway, taxiway, parking apron or other airport property adjacent thereto without the consent of the City or its designated airport manager or other representative. Any vehicle authorized to enter upon airport property shall be properly marked and shall otherwise meet all City, County, State and Federal regulations or standards pertaining to the vehicles upon said airport. The foregoing shall not apply to persons boarding or deplaning from, or loading or unloading aircraft properly parked upon said parking apron.
C. Animals: No dogs or other animals shall be permitted on Challis Municipal Airport property unless restrained by a leash or otherwise confined in such a manner to be under control, and no horses, cattle or other livestock shall be permitted on Challis Municipal Airport property at any time.
D. Damage to Airport Property: It shall be unlawful to intentionally damage, remove or deface any gates, fences or signs erected at the Challis Municipal Airport, or to otherwise damage any Challis Municipal Airport property.
E. Liability for Damages: Any unauthorized pedestrians or the owner, operator or lessee of any unauthorized vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle or other conveyance and the owner of any unauthorized livestock shall be liable for damages caused to airport surfaces and for any injuries or damages to persons or property resulting from such unauthorized use of the Challis Municipal Airport.
F. Enforcement and Penalties: Any person violating any provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to such penalties as provided by law. The City may also enforce this Section by any appropriate civil remedy, including an action for injunctive relief. (Ord. 366, 10-14-75)
