7-5-3: DEFINITIONS:
HAZARDOUS TREES: Public or private trees that prevent appropriate passage or safe vision on any public property.
OBSTRUCTIVE TREES: Public or private trees that prevent appropriate passage or safe vision on any public right of way.
PARK TREES: Trees or shrubs in public parks or open space owned by the city to which the public has free access.
PRIVATE TREES: All trees other than public trees.
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY: Improved or unimproved public property, owned by, dedicated to, or deeded to the public for pedestrian, vehicular or other use. It includes, but is not limited to, streets, alleys, sidewalks, access routes for public utilities and open public spaces.
PUBLIC TREES: Trees or shrubs situated in such a manner that over fifty percent (50%) of the base or trunk is on public property or within a public right of way.
STREET TREES: Trees or shrubs on land lying between property lines on all public rights of way within the city. (Ord. 465A, 8-21-2014)
