(a) The Police Department is hereby authorized to issue permits to employees and operators of businesses located in the Village to permit parking all day, during weekdays, to permit all day parking for such employees and operators of businesses located in the Village, which permits shall be displayed in the front windshield of the vehicle in a prominent place that can be readily observed. The cost of the permit shall be determined by the Village Council after establishment of the permit program. Permits shall be made available for all parking spaces leased by the Village for the purpose of providing parking to employees and operators of businesses located in the Village. The Police Department is hereby directed to install signage at the north, south, east and west boundaries of the Central Shopping District identifying the boundaries of such district, and in the event of any zone map change to the Central Shopping District to relocate such signage, where necessary, to reflect the revised boundaries. No person shall park a vehicle in a parking space leased by the Village without a permit required by this Section.
(b) Any person who violates subsection (a) hereof is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and subject to the penalties provided in Codified Ordinance Section 303.99.
