Before issuing a permit to remove soil, the applicant shall post a bond in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000) in favor of the Municipality, conditioned upon the performance of the work authorized by the permit in accordance with this chapter and the terms of such permit, signed by the applicant and a good and satisfactory corporate surety.
