17.56.220 Off-street loading berth requirements.
   A.   Number of berths required. All commercial, office and industrial uses shall provide off-street truck loading/unloading berths in accordance with Table 17.56.220.

   B.   Off-street loading berth design requirements. Unless otherwise specified in these zoning regulations, all off-street loading facilities shall meet the following standards:
   1.   The first loading berth shall be at least 70 feet in length and additional berths required shall be at least 45 feet in length.
   2.   All loading berths shall be at least twelve feet in width and provide at least fourteen feet of overhead clearance, exclusive of aisle and maneuvering space.
   C.   Loading berth allowed locations. All off-street loading facilities shall meet the following requirements for placement on a site:
   1.   May occupy any part of interior side or rear setbacks and may not enter front or exterior side setbacks.
   2.   Shall not be located closer than 50 feet to any residential zoned or used property unless separated from that zone by a masonry wall not less than eight feet in height.
   3.   Sufficient room for turning and maneuvering vehicles shall be provided on the site so that vehicle cross property lines only by driving forward.
   D.   Backing into street right-of-way. No loading berth may be accessed by backing in from street right-of-way or backing into street right-of-way. Loading berths must be accessible with vehicle fully contained within site.
