Locations within special flood hazard areas established in Section 15.40.580 are areas designated as floodways. Since the floodway is an extremely hazardous area due to the velocity of floodwaters which carry debris, potential projectiles, and erosion potential, the provisions set out in Sections 15.40.820 through 15.40.840 apply.
