(A) All owners of motorized scooters must provide proof of liability insurance on each scooter they own.
(B) Anyone who drives the scooter must be covered by liability insurance.
(C) The policy limits shall be based upon the minimum policy limits required by the state for the operation of a licensed and registered motor vehicle upon the state roadways.
(D) Proof of insurance must be presented upon annual registration of the vehicle, by May 1 of each year.
(E) If the vehicle is put into operation after May 1, then the proof of insurance must be submitted within seven days of the first use on city property.
