A sufficient number of patrol officers shall be hired in accordance with the provisions of §§ 150.20 through 150.41, Ch. 152, 154 and 155, §§ 156.01 through 156.09 and §§ 156.40 through 156.42 of this code of ordinances, except as same may be in conflict with any collective bargaining agreement from time to time in effect. All patrol officers of the city shall be required to complete training certification including graduation from the state’s Police Training Institute and certification for 40 hours of firearms training, within nine months of hiring.
