(a) Specifications for meter pits shall be set forth in standards maintained by the Carmel Water Utilities.
(b) The installer is to be responsible for assuring that the top of the meter pit lid is on a flush grade with the surrounding ground and also that all parts are rigidly installed and that the piping is free of leaks and meets all State and Carmel Water Utility specifications.
(c) No alterations to meter pits shall be allowed without written permission from the Carmel Water Utilities. All approved repairs or changes must be completed within 15 working days of the date written permission is received by the applicant for approval.
