§ 8-34 Curb Loading Zones.
   (a)   The Council may determine the location of curb loading zones and shall have placed and maintained appropriate signs indicating the same. No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle for any purpose or period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers or materials in any place marked as a curb loading zone during the hours when the regulations applicable to such curb loading zones are effective.
   (b)   Section 8-37 of this Code addresses 15-minute loading zones.
   (c)   A 20-minute School Bus Loading Zone for the exclusive use of Carmel-Clay Schools buses then engaged in the loading or unloading of Carmel-Clay Schools students, faculty, employees and/or authorized visitors or guests, is hereby established at the following locations and for the following time periods:
      (1)   On or about the curb located on the north side of Main Street (131st Street) beginning at that point which is 260 feet east of the east side of 4th Avenue North East as it intersects with Main Street and running eastward along said curb for 300 feet. This curb loading zone shall be in effect from 3:00 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. on Monday through Friday each week of the year.
      (2)   Reserved.

   (d)   The Carmel Street Department shall post appropriate signs and/or markings at the location(s) set forth in subsection (c) above, designating same as a "School Bus Loading Zone."
   (e)   It shall be unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, other than an authorized vehicle to park, stand or drive in, on or within any portion of any curb loading zone, or to otherwise obstruct the use thereof by authorized vehicles.
   (f)   Any person who violates this section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $1,000 per violation. Each day shall constitute a separate violation.
   (g)   In addition to any other penalties set forth hereinabove or as otherwise permitted by law, any vehicle located in, on or within a Loading Zone, or obstructing access to same, in violation of this section, may be removed at the order of a sworn law enforcement officer at the sole cost and expense of said vehicle's owner.
