(a) For the purpose of this Section, the following definitions shall apply:
“School Zone” shall mean a roadway segment, located within the City’s corporate limits, where signs have been installed by the City of Carmel in accordance with Indiana Code Section 9-21-5-6, as the same may be amended from time to time.
(b) The speed limit for all motor vehicular traffic within a School Zone shall be 25 miles per hour from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on school days.
(c) All requests for the City to install or remove signs under Indiana Code Section 9-21-5-6, as the same may be amended from time to time, shall be made by the Department of Engineering to the Carmel Board of Public Works and Safety for its review and approval.
