9-4-12: CONTINUITY OF SERVICE:
   (A)   Emergency Interruptions:
      1.   The water department will make all reasonable efforts to prevent interruptions to service and when such interruptions occur will endeavor to reestablish service with the shortest possible delay consistent with the safety to its customers and the general public.
      2.   Where any emergency interruption of service affects the service to any public fire protection device, the water department will promptly endeavor to notify the fire chief of such interruption and of subsequent restoration of normal service.
   (B)   Scheduled Interruptions: Whenever the water department finds it necessary to schedule an interruption to its service, it will, where feasible, notify all customers to be affected by the interruptions, stating the approximate time and anticipated duration of the interruption. Scheduled interruptions will be made at such hours as will provide least inconvenience to the customers consistent with reasonable water department operations.
   (C)   Apportionment Of Supply During Times Of Shortage: During times of threatened or actual water shortage the director will apportion the supply in the manner that appears most suitable under the circumstances then prevailing, and with due regard to public health and safety.
