All licenses provided by this chapter to be procured shall be printed in appropriate form, with marginal stub attached, stitched together, and bound in books, and shall be so printed that on issuance, the date, number, amount, class, business, trade or profession licensed, and the name or names of the party or parties to whom the license is granted, and the time for which the same is granted shall be indicated; and before issuance they shall be signed by the mayor and countersigned by the clerk.
