All licenses taken out pursuant to the requirements of this chapter shall be posted and kept by the party or parties taking out the same, in a conspicuous place in or about the place of business of the person who obtains the same; and, in demand, during the usual hours of business, must be shown to the officer whose duty it is to collect such license and the officer whose duty it is to issue the same.
