§ 1-252 SUCCESSION IN GOVERNMENT.
   1.   All ordinances, insofar as they are not inconsistent with this code of ordinances, shall continue in effect until they are repealed or until they expire by their limitations.
   2.   All officers and employees of the city under any and all previous ordinances, shall continue in the offices and employments which they respectively hold, after this code of ordinances goes into effect.
   3.   All books, monies or other property belonging to the city and in charge or possession of any officer of the city shall be delivered to said person’s successor.
