1. No person may discharge to a public sewer any waste which by itself or by interaction with other wastes may:
a. Injure or interfere with wastewater treatment processes or facilities;
b. Constitute a hazard to humans or animals; or
c. Create a hazard in the receiving waters of the wastewater treatment plant effluent.
2. Any new connections from inflow sources into the sanitary sewer portions of the sewer shall be prohibited. All discharges shall be prohibited except those that meet the criteria for domestic wastewater. BOD concentration shall not exceed 250 mg/l SS shall not exceed 250 mg/l.
3. It is the intention of the city to regulate present and future industrial wastewater which might be discharged by a user of the facilities. Wastewater introduced into the facilities shall contain no toxins or other pollutants in amounts or concentrations that endanger public safety or the physical integrity of the treatment works, or cause violation of effluent or water quality limitations, or preclude the use of the most cost effective wastewater treatment and sludge disposal system.
