1. There is hereby created the office of Plumbing Inspector within the administrative structure of the city.
2. The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council; the Plumbing Inspector may also hold other positions in the municipal government.
3. The Plumbing Inspector shall have all of the powers and duties prescribed by the Plumbing Code adopted by this code of ordinances, shall be certified by the state and shall also ensure that all municipal ordinances and regulations relating to water and sanitary plumbing are properly enforced. See Chapters 4 and 16 of this code of ordinances.
