1. There is hereby created the office of Electrical Inspector within the administrative structure of the city. The Electrical Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council.
2. The Electrical Inspector shall have had experience as an electrician, shall be of good moral character, shall be knowledgeable of the approved methods of electrical construction and shall be certified by the state.
3. The Electrical Inspector shall have all of the powers and duties prescribed by the Electrical Code adopted by this code of ordinances, and shall also ensure that all municipal ordinances and regulations relating to electrical safety are properly enforced. See Chapter 4 of this code of ordinances.
