§ 5-83 RECORDS TO BE KEPT.
   Every pawnbroker shall keep records on forms supplied by the Police Department, upon which shall be entered and legible written in ink, in English, at the time of each loan, receipt or purchase of personal property, and accurate account and complete description of the goods, articles or things pawned, purchased or received, the number of the pawn ticket give to the pledgor, the time and date redeemable, the time and date of the pawning, receiving or purchasing such goods, articles or things, and the name, residence, age, sex and color of the pledgor or seller as well as such other information as might be required by the Chief of Police. No entry on said forms shall be erased, obliterated or defaced. Said records, as well as every article or thing pawned, pledged or deposited, or purchased, shall be open to the inspection of any police officer or the city.
