GENERAL PROVISIONS
PARKING is the standing of a vehicle, whether attended or unattended, upon a roadway, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading, or in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs or signals.

(A) It shall be the duty of the police to notify any person so encumbering, obstructing, or parking any motor vehicle illegally upon any streets, and to remove any such vehicle therefrom forthwith.

(B) It shall be the duty of the police to notify any person so encumbering or obstructing, as described in § 72.16, any street, road, alley, sidewalk, or other public grounds, to remove any such vehicle therefrom forthwith.

METHOD OF PARKING
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to stop, stand, or park such vehicle in any of the following places, except when to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control sign or signal:
(A) Within an intersection;
(B) On a crosswalk;
(C) Outside the first line of cars parked next to the curb, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of any while actually engaged in loading or unloading;
(D) Within 25 feet of the intersection of curb lines;
(E) Within 15 feet of the driveway entrance to a fire station;
(F) Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant;
(G) In front of a private driveway;
(H) On a sidewalk; and
(I) Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such stopping, standing, or parking would obstruct traffic.
