Every person, firm, corporation or his, her or their servant, agent, representative, or employee violating any of the provisions of the international codes adopted by this chapter shall, in addition to the penalties prescribed by those codes, be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. The imposition of one penalty for any one violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue; and all such persons shall be required to correct or remedy such violation or defect within a reasonable time.
