A. Power To Regulate: The Director of Public Works, with the consent of the City Council and Mayor, shall have the power and authority to regulate the hours of sprinkling.
B. Water Shortage:
1. In the case of shortage of water, upon declaration or proclamation by the Mayor, the Director of Public Works shall order the water users to discontinue the use of sprinkler irrigation and outside use of City water from said City water system for such time as, in the Director's opinion with the concurrence of the Council, shall be deemed necessary.
2. During the period of a declaration of water shortage, no sprinkler, open hoses, etc., shall be used for domestic irrigation, and no City water shall be used for washing motor vehicles, driveways, patios, sidewalks or any other outside use.
C. Use During Fire: All domestic irrigation shall be ceased at any time when there is a fire burning that is being fought by the Buhl Fire Department or any other Fire Department aiding the City. (1974 Code § 1-517)
