7-1-6: DAMAGE IN CASE OF SHUTOFF:
The city water may be shut off from the mains at any time, without notice, for the purpose of making repairs, extensions, or other necessary purposes. Persons having boilers supplied by direct pressure from the mains are cautioned against danger of explosion or collapse. The city shall not be responsible for the safety of boilers on the premises of any water consumer, nor for any damage caused a property owner as a result of a shutoff. When water is to be shut off out of the mains of the city on a planned shutoff, the water department shall notify the fire department and property owners prior to the time of making such shutoff using the best method of notice available.
