A. Property Owner To Repair And Protect: It is the responsibility of the property owner receiving water through a service line to keep the same in repair and protected from freezing. The city will not work on service lines.
B. Damage Resulting From Leaks Or Breaks: The owner shall be responsible for all damage resulting from leaks or breaks in owner's service line. The city shall have no responsibility for the installation, maintenance or repair of such service lines, nor shall the city have any liability for damage resulting from the leakage or breakage of a service line. C. Frozen Lines; Flat Fee: Should an owner's service line freeze and said freezing results in the damage to the water meter and/or the city water lines and the city is called upon to thaw the city line or water meter, there shall be a flat fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) plus the cost of any materials used by the city charged to the owner of the frozen service line; such fees shall be added to the next utility bill.
