The Fire Chief shall publish a schedule of fees for inspections performed by the Fire Prevention Bureau and the Fire Territory, and shall establish an application procedure for permits to be issued. All fees collected shall be deposited in the fire protection territory fund, and an accounting of such funds shall be made in the Fire Chief’s annual report. All monies in the fund shall be subject to the applicable laws requesting handling and expenditure of public funds. The fee schedule shall be reviewed each calendar year and republished by the Fire Chief, if necessary.
(A) Application for permits. Upon submittal of all required documentation, the Fire Chief or designee shall review for code compliance the application within three (3) days and submit a report to the Building Commission office.
(B) Annual fire safety inspection fees.
(1) The following fee schedule is hereby established for annual fire safety inspections performed by the Fire Prevention Bureau and the Fire Territory to promote compliance with fire safety laws in accordance with I.C. 36-8-17-8.
(2) There shall be no fee for routine annual fire safety inspections, which may include an initial inspection, first and second re-inspection and a final inspection; provided however, that in the event the Fire Prevention Bureau or the Fire Territory determines by an initial inspection that a violation of § 92.097, and the owner and person in control of any premises upon which a violation or hazard exists fails to correct the violations and eliminate any hazard as set forth in § 92.100, or fails to abide by an order issued pursuant to § 92.999, then a citation shall be issued by the Fire Prevention Bureau upon completion of the re-inspection that determines non-compliance with the order or written report, and there shall be a fee of four hundred dollars ($400) for the re-inspection.
(C) Fire territory installment permit inspection fees. Prior to any installation work being done on the systems set forth below, a permit shall first be obtained from the Department of Development Services, after the applicable fees are paid and a complete set of site plans are submitted, reviewed, and approved, if in compliance with the applicable codes. The following fee schedule, which includes the review of plans for Fire and Life Safety Code compliance, the initial site visit with the person performing the installation, and the initial consultation prior to installation, is hereby established for installation permit inspections:

(D) Certificate of Occupancy inspections fees.
(1) Certificate of Occupancy inspections performed by the Fire Prevention Bureau or the Fire Territory for Fire and Life Safety Protection Systems shall include sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, hood suppression systems, fuel dispensing systems, any other extinguishing system, fire prevention system, or fire alarm system (the "Fire and Life Safety Protections Systems"). No building or structure shall be used or occupied until the Fire and Life Safety Protection Systems on said premises have been inspected by the Fire Prevention Bureau or the Fire Territory to determine compliance with the adopted codes and a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued upon compliance being determined. The following fee schedule is hereby established for inspections performed by the Fire Prevention Bureau or the Fire Territory in connection with the request for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy:

(2) Re-inspection fees for Certificate of Occupancy inspections shall be assessed, within the sole discretion of the Fire Chief under the following circumstances:
(a) When an inspection has been scheduled and the construction activity was not accessible when the inspector attempted to make the requested inspection at the time agreed upon for the inspection;
(b) The construction activity was covered or otherwise concealed and not available for inspection;
(c) The construction activity was not yet sufficiently completed for an inspection to be performed; or
(d) A notice of correction was issued to the contractor and either no written response from the contractor was made within the time frame specified for re-inspection or the contractor requested re-inspection corrections and the corrections were not properly completed in accordance with the code.
(E) Other fees.
(1) Copy of fire investigation reports: $15.
(2) Copy of fire investigation pictures: $20.
(3) Copy of general fire run report: $15.
(4) Halloween amusement permit: $25.
(5) Property environmental condition report: $15.
(6) Faulty alarms (>3 in a calendar year):
(a) Per fire apparatus: $100.
(b) For supervisor vehicle: $50.
(7) Unlawful burning fee: $50.
(8) Annual pyrotechnics retail permit: $10.
(F) Direct sellers, licensing and fees (per § 113.24).
(1) One day permit fee to sell: $50.
(2) One week permit fee to sell: $300.
(3) One month permit fee to sell: $1,000.
