All automatic sprinkler equipments and appurtenant equipment specified in this chapter shall be inspected at least once a year by the Chief of the Fire Department and maintained by the owner or occupant at all times in proper operative condition.
The occupant of the building containing such equipment shall promptly notify the Fire Department in case any sprinkler equipment is withdrawn, interrupted, curtailed or altered.
