One effect of development is the increase in stormwater volumes generated from a site. Stormwater and how it is managed affects all the property in the watershed. It is the City's responsibility to manage stormwater through the review of engineering designs and maintenance of public systems. In order to do this the City must establish design standards to provide adequate design for stormwater systems and to insure maintenance of the system. The City understands that not all projects will conform to these standards and may require unique solutions suited to the individual site. These situations should be addressed early in the planning stages of development.
