When the wiring or electrical equipment in any building is being altered or installed, no person shall cover such wiring or equipment or cause the same to be covered until the Electrical Inspector or a deputy shall have inspected and approved the wiring and equipment. The Electrical Inspector or a deputy, after inspection and approval, shall post a notice in a conspicuous part of the building, declaring that the wiring or equipment is approved and may be covered. In interpreting this rule for all work, the contractor shall request inspection when parts of the work are to be covered, such as for concrete work where partial inspection is necessary.
