1124.01 PURPOSE AND INTENT.

   This chapter is adopted to regulate the size, location and appearance of billboards throughout the City of Brook Park. The regulations set out in this chapter are enacted for the purpose of preserving and protecting the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the City. Specifically, the regulation of billboards will:

   (a)   Promote safety upon the highways, roads and streets of the City of Brook Park;

   (b)   Foster civic pride in the beauty of the City;

   (c)   Enhance the aesthetic values of the City;

   (d)   Protect property values;

   (e)   Protect and enhance the City's attractiveness to tourists and visitors;

   (f)   Enhance the economic vitality of the City; and

   (g)   Promote good urban planning and design.
