505.16 CONFINEMENT OF CERTAIN DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS.
   (a)   The owner of any fierce, dangerous or vicious dog shall confine such dog within a building or secure enclosure, and not take such dog out of such building or secure enclosure unless the dog is securely muzzled.
    (b)   Every female dog in heat shall be confined in a building or secure enclosure, or in a veterinary hospital or boarding kennel, in such manner that such female dog cannot come in contact with another dog except for intentional breeding purposes.
    (c)   Any animal described in subsection (a) or (b) hereof, found at large, shall be impounded by the Animal Warden and may not be redeemed by the owner, unless such redemption is authorized by any court having jurisdiction.
    (d)   Any dog, cat or other animal impounded for being a public nuisance may not be redeemed unless such redemption is authorized by any court having jurisdiction.

    (e)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
