149.05 LEGAL ADVISOR TO COMMISSION.

(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to employ an attorney-at-law or law firm for the purpose of serving as legal advisor to the Civil Service Commission. As legal advisor to the Commission, the person or firm so employed may advise the Commission or act as counsel for the Commission on any official matter that is before the body. Such legal advisor shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.

(b) Compensation of the legal advisor to the Civil Service Commission shall be fixed by Council.
