147.30 DEPUTY DIRECTORS.
   (a)   Establishment. There are hereby established within the Recreation Department four Deputy Directors of Recreation.

   (b)   Appointment and Term. The Deputy Directors of Recreation shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.

   (c)   Compensation. Compensation for the Deputy Directors of Recreation shall be fixed by Council.

   (d)   Duties. The Deputy Directors of Recreation shall be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating leisure and athletic activities as they relate to the programs and activities of young men and women, adults and senior citizens. They shall also be responsible for providing instruction, scheduling, officiating, scorekeeping and any other duties as may be required by the Director and/or the Mayor.

   (e)   Qualifications. Deputy Directors should possess a valid Ohio Driver's license (with appropriate endorsements for a Commercial Driver's License), and certification in CPR and First Aid. Additionally, Deputy Directors should possess a Physical Education, Recreation/Sports Management degree or relevant combination of experience and education. It is also expected that Deputy Directors have experience and/or training in the area of aquatics.
