(a) Appointment. There is hereby created three janitorial positions in the Division of Public Properties. Appointment to such position shall be made by the Mayor. Such appointment shall be for such period of time and under such conditions as may be determined at the time of appointment and shall be subject to termination by the Mayor at any time. The janitor shall be a full-time employee.
(b) Duties. All janitors appointed under the provisions of this section shall perform such duties as the Director of Public Service, and/or the Superintendent of Maintenance of Public Properties shall assign and prescribe for such position. The time of employment and hours shall be determined by the Director of Public Service.
(c) Compensation. Compensation for the janitors in the Division of Public Properties shall be fixed by Council.
