141.10 OFF-DUTY POLICE PROTECTION FOR STREET CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.
   (a)   If it is determined by the Safety Director and/or the Police Chief that police protection is necessary for the orderly and safe flow of traffic, and for the protection of the general public at any street or highway construction project, or at any utility- construction project, then the contractor, contractors and/or utility company or railroad doing such construction work shall hire off-duty Brook Park police in order to insure such orderly and safe flow of traffic and protection of the general public.
   (b)   If sufficient off-duty Brook Park policemen are not available to provide for the orderly and safe flow of traffic and to provide for the protection of the general public, then the contractor, contractors and/or utility company or railroad may hire any other off-duty policeman or deputy sheriff, providing such policeman or deputy sheriff has completed 240 hours of police training as required by law.
