(a) It shall be the duty of the Animal Wardens to enforce all animal ordinances of the City; to apprehend any animal running at large in the City and to dispose of it according to the provisions of the various ordinances pertaining to animals; upon the impounding of any animal, it shall be the duty of the Animal Wardens to make a report in detail, showing registry, breed, color, and sex and whether or not licensed, and if licensed, the name and address of the owner and the number of the license tag.
(b) The Animal Wardens, not later than forty-eight hours after the impounding of such registered animal shall notify the owner or if the owner of the animal is unknown, shall post written notice describing the animal and the place and time of apprehending such animal.
(c) The Animal Wardens shall collect and assess all fees for the redemption of any animal so apprehended, and to release the animal upon payment of such assessments as set forth in Section 505.15 of the Codified Ordinances.
