(a) The salary of the Director of Law for one year commencing January 1, 2004, until duly changed is hereby fixed at fifty-nine thousand, five hundred seventy-one dollars ($59,571) per annum, payable in biweekly installments.
(b) The salary of the Director of Law for one year commencing January 1, 2005, until duly changed is hereby fixed at fifty-nine thousand, five hundred seventy-one dollars ($59,571) per annum, payable in biweekly installments.
(c) The salary of the Director of Law for one year commencing January 1, 2006, until duly changed is hereby fixed at sixty-one thousand, three hundred fifty-eight dollars ($61,358) per annum, payable in biweekly installments.
(d) The salary of the Director of Law for one year commencing January 1, 2007, until duly changed, is hereby fixed at sixty-three thousand, one hundred ninety-nine dollars ($63,199) per annum, payable in biweekly installments.
(e) In the event that the Director of Law or an Assistant Director of Law represents the City, its officers or employees who were acting in their official capacities as representatives of the City in any civil litigation, before any court or administrative agency other than Council, or boards or commissions of the City, or in connection with the settlement of any and all claims for or against the City, such Director and/or Assistants shall be compensated at the rate of eighty-five dollars ($85.00) per hour.
Payment of the hourly fees shall be considered part of the Director's total compensation pursuant to the duties prescribed by the Brook Park Charter, and, therefore, eligible for all PERS benefits. Payment of hourly fees for any legal action set forth in this section must be approved by the Board of Control.
