Commencing with the effective date of this section, there is hereby established a policy of maintaining the wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for all full-time employees of the City when they are called into active military service. The Director of Finance is authorized to continue paying their base wages during their time of military service, less, however, their military wages received during such service.
