There is hereby established parking meter zone A which includes the following provisions:
A. The director of public works services or his designee shall set the parking meter rates for each meter located in parking meter zone A in an amount not to exceed two dollars ($2.00) per hour. If the meter is set for a time that is less than one hour, the meter rate shall not exceed two dollars ($2.00) for the maximum time on such meter.
B. Except as otherwise set by the director of public works services as provided in this subsection, parking meters shall be in operation, and the deposit of coins shall be required, between the hours of six o'clock (6:00) A.M. and eleven fifty nine o'clock (11:59) P.M. of each day of the week. The director of public works services shall have the authority to set the parking meter hours and days of operation within the time frame set forth herein as well as the maximum legal parking time at each parking meter. The director of public works services shall provide thirty (30) days' notice to the city council, at a public meeting, of any proposed change to parking meter hours or days of operation at any meter.
C. Parking time at any meter shall not exceed the posted maximum time limit.
D. The following area is included within parking meter zone A:
Almont Drive, both sides, from the alley north of Wilshire Boulevard to the alley south of Wilshire Boulevard, and from the alley north of Olympic Boulevard to the alley south of Olympic Boulevard.
Arnaz Drive, west side, from the north lot line of the first lot north of Wilshire Boulevard to thirty four feet (34') south of the third lot south of Wilshire Boulevard; and on the east side of Arnaz Drive from the north lot line of the first lot north of Wilshire Boulevard to thirty four feet (34') south of the second lot south of Wilshire Boulevard.
Beverly Boulevard, south side, from Civic Center Drive to Maple Drive.
Beverly Drive, both sides, from Olympic Boulevard to the south city limits.
Burton Way, north side, from Civic Center Drive to two hundred fifty five feet (255') east of Civic Center Drive.
Burton Way, south side, from Clark Drive to Robertson Boulevard.
Burton Way, south side, from Doheny Drive to Wetherly Drive.
Canon Drive, west side, from Olympic Boulevard to Beverly Drive.
Carson Road, both sides, from the north lot line of the first lot north of Wilshire Boulevard to the south lot line of the first lot south of Wilshire Boulevard.
Charleville Boulevard, both sides, from the alley west of Robertson Boulevard to the east property line of the first lot east of Robertson Boulevard.
Charleville Boulevard, east side, from Santa Monica Boulevard, South Roadway, to Durant Drive and on both sides of Charleville Boulevard from Durant Drive to Lasky Drive.
Charleville Boulevard, north side, from Lasky Drive to the alley east of Lasky Drive.
Charleville Boulevard, north side, from one hundred thirty feet (130') west of Stanley Drive to Le Doux Road.
Civic Center Drive, east side, from Third Street to the alley south of Third Street.
