A preferential parking district is hereby established and shall be comprised of certain residential street blocks that are located within the preferential parking master plan area. A map designating such street blocks shall be prepared and maintained on file in the office of the director of transportation. Street blocks included in this district are eligible for inclusion into an existing or new preferential parking zone in accordance with the procedure set forth in section 7-3-206 of this chapter.
