7-3-121: PARKING PROHIBITED IN ANTIGRIDLOCK ZONES:
   A.   For purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings:
   ANTIGRIDLOCK ZONE: Arterial streets designated by the transportation official on which the stopping, parking or standing of vehicles is prohibited during peak hours to ensure that the curb lane is available as an additional, continuous lane for through traffic in order to avoid gridlock during peak hours.
   PEAK HOURS: The hours in which weekday traffic flow is the heaviest for the day as designated by the transportation official.
   B.   The transportation official is authorized to establish antigridlock zones on any arterial streets in the city during peak hours.
   C.   The transportation official shall place or cause to be placed signs on such streets giving notice of the antigridlock zone and that any vehicle stopped, parked or left standing in violation thereof may be removed.
   D.   When signs authorized by the provisions of this section are in place giving notice of an antigridlock zone, no person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle during the time and day period posted on such signs.
