A. Failure Of Owner To Comply; Abatement By City: When a property owner to whom an order issued pursuant to section 7-1-5 of this chapter is directed, fails to comply within the time specified, the director of public works shall remedy the condition, or contract with others for such purpose, and charge the cost thereof to the person to whom the order is directed.
B. Failure To Pay Costs; Assessment Against Property: If the cost of remedying a condition is not paid within thirty (30) days after the mailing of a statement therefor from the director of public works, the cost shall be assessed against the abutting property for collection in the same manner as a property tax.
