11-3-8: INTERPRETATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES:
The following rules shall apply in determining the boundaries of any zoning district or DCA shown on the zoning map.
   A.   DCA boundaries are indicated as approximate as opposed to following lot lines.
   B.   Where district or DCA boundaries are indicated as within street or alley, railroad, streams or creeks, or other identifiable rights-of-way, the centerline of such rights-of-way shall be deemed the district boundary.
   C.   Where a zoning district or DCA boundary line divides a lot in single ownership on the effective date of this title or amendment, the regulations of this title for either portion of such lot may, at the owner's discretion, apply to the entire area of the lot or twenty five feet (25') beyond the zoning district or DCA boundary line, whichever is the lesser distance.
   D.   Where district or DCA boundaries are indicated as approximately following corporate limits, such corporate limits shall be considered the district boundaries.
   E.   Where district or DCA boundaries are indicated as approximately following section lines, quarter-section lines, or quarter-quarter-section lines, such lines shall be considered the district boundaries.
   F.   Boundaries indicated as following shorelines shall be construed to follow such shorelines, and in the event of change in the shoreline, shall be construed as moving with the actual shoreline; boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerlines of streams, rivers, canals, lakes, or other bodies of water shall be construed to follow such centerlines.
   G.   Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated in Subsections A. through F. of this section shall be so construed. Distances not specifically indicated on the official zone map shall be determined by dimensions shown on the map, or in the absence of dimensions, by the scale of the map.
   H.   Boundaries not capable of being determined as set forth in Subsections 11-3-8 A through G of this chapter shall be as dimensioned on the official zoning map or if not dimensioned shall be determined by the scale shown on the map. (Ord. 35-17, 10-17-2017)
